Tony Barbour has 30 years’ experience in the environmental consulting sector. His experience includes ten years as an environmental consultant in the private sector in South Africa followed by four and a half years at the University of Cape Town’s Environmental Evaluation Unit.

In 2004 he established his own environmental consulting company, Tony Barbour Environmental Consulting, with a focus on Social Impact Assessment (SIA), Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), Environmental Due Diligence Assessments, and Independent Review Work. He is also involved in Training and Capacity Building and Environmental Project Management.

His work experience includes working in South Africa, Namibia, Angola, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique, Mauritius, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Kenya, Ethiopia, Oman, and Armenia.
